POMODORO
A brand identity for a family owned italian restaurant based in Constance, Germany.

The logomark draws inspiration from the organic form and vibrant character of ripe, fresh tomatoes (pomodoro in Italian) connected on the vine. This natural clustering reflects the warmth and intimacy of gathering around a table. This visual metaphor encapsulates the restaurant’s core values: freshness, togetherness, and tradition.

The brand positions itself as a welcoming place where guests are invited to savour genuine Italian flavours in an atmosphere of warmth and care.

I treated each letter as if it were a singular tomato, allowing for flexible arrangements across different formats. Sometimes in pairs, fours or as an eight, reflecting different table formats. The letters slightly overlap to represent the feeling of connection and togetherness as you gather round the table.
Traditional typeface
To balance the bold graphics of the brand, I chose Filosofia for the headline font. It’s a modern take on Bodoni, a classic Italian typeface, which adds a touch of elegance and warmth. This choice helps soften the strong visuals while also honoring the restaurant’s family traditions.
The modular design of the logo makes it easy to deconstruct into singular elements and use in playful, personal ways across print materials — from coasters to loyalty card stamps.
